Summer in the Park - Team Darenth's annual circuit racing series for Under 8s, Under 10s and Under 12's will be kicking off in Dartford Park on Friday 1st May and will run for 6 weeks The racing starts at 7:00pm, so be there a bit earlier for signing on, gear checks and warming up. Summer in the Park 2009
Team Darenth will be hosting a series of 6 races starting on Friday 1st May and finishing on Friday 5th June.
The races are being held in Dartford Central Park and will be on the
650 metre tarmac path around the park. Signing on opens 6.30pm and racing starts at 7pm sharp. This is a flat course.
Racing is open to riders in the following categories:
Under 8, Under 10 and Under 12.
The categories are based on your age on the 1st of January 2009.
Races are open to anyone within theses age categories and you don’t need to be a member of a team or club so invite your friends along too.
If you are not a member of British Cycling you will need to purchase a day licence at a cost of £1.50 per race.
Racing can be done on road or mountain bikes and helmets must be worn.
Points will be awarded for each race depending on finishing positions and trophies will be awarded to the overall series winners.
Best 5 scores count towards the final total.
Riders will need to have gears restricted to the British cycling limits for youth riders. These will be checked on the day and we can help you where necessary.
If you have never tried racing before, this is an ideal opportunity to have a go in a fun and friendly environment.

Fowlmead Summer Series, Deal Kent
Gretel Warner won all four rounds to take the overall series. Liam Cowell was to place third in all the rounds to give him third overall.
Team Darenth entered two teams into Fowlmead six hour endro on July 2nd consisting of Paul and Gretel Warner and Glen Hord in team 1. Barry Martin, Jez and Neil McCann in team 2 who placed 6th overall in the seniors and team 1 was 5th.
